just myself :)

Hey everyone! My name is Allie Griswold and I'll be 19 next Saturday. I'm expecting some good presents. Just kidding! I'm originally from Lawrenceville, GA over in Gwinnett, but now i live here in Kennesaw, which I love. I'm going to school to study History Education, with the hope that I can be a history teacher as well as a basketball coach! I'm hoping to transfer in my third year to UGA to continue my studies, hopefully minoring in foreign language, preferably Latin.
Okay, on to more interesting topics. I come from a family of four girls. Yes, my dad was a lucky man! We all played sports and were tomboys growing up so it was like he had four sons. :) He passed away four years ago from a heartattack and I have missed him everyday since. But you are more than welcome to ask me about him. I talk about him all the time so know i won't get upset if you say something or forget about it! Its okay. :) I played four years of varsity basketball at my high school and I also was a part of the musical theatre program. I am also a swimmer and just finished up my very last season for my team this summer. I had been swimming there since i was 4 yrs old. On a more personal level, I am a very kind and considerate person and family/friends are big parts of my life. I love to meet new people and make new friends so don't be afraid to come and talk to me. I'm always in a good mood and i rarely ever get mad. I hope everyone enjoys getting to me as much as I am going to enjoy getting to know you! Have a wonderful day :)

Hola everyone. I guess it's time to do the whole "about me" thing again. I was born here in Atlanta, and I've lived here for most of my life. After high school I followed my only brother out to Oxford, Mississippi to go to school at Ole Miss. For reasons to numerous to list here, I returned to Atlanta after a year or so and joined the workforce sans degree. I had a pretty good run in the computer industry, and after a few years I decided to take some time off. After some much needed vacation time, I thought it might be worth giving the whole "higher education" thing a second chance, so I found my way to Kennesaw. Aside from school, these days my time is usually spent outside, or with the dog, or best of all, outside with the dog. Well, that's all that seems to come to mind at the moment. I'll see you in class.

Natalie

Hey everyone! Its Natalie, let's see where to begin about me!! I am eighteen years old, but barely, my birthday was in June. I grew up in a fiarly large house. I have two brothers and one sister. Christopher is the oldest of us all, and we are goofy, he is in school at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona. My younger sister is Kalin, she is a sophomore in high school, and she looks exactly like me just about three inches shorter. Then there is Logan, he is a 6th grader now, and doing the whole crazy sixth grade thing. I played volleyball all through high school, and plan on playing on the sand volleyball team here in the springtime, looking forward to that. I grew up around sports...so it has become my life! I love to have fun in my spare time...but in moderation!! I have the best (and craziest) freinds in the world. We all like to just have fun!! We'll do a variety of things...next on our agenda is sky diving. I absolutely love Mexican food, its probably my favorite food. I do not like seafood at all...as unbelieveable as that is. Excited about college...and being out on my own!! Its been great so far...and I only expect it to get better!!

All About Me

Well I guess it could be said that there is a lot more to me than meets the eye. I grew up in the boondocks with my family and a few close friends. I am an Army brat. I was fortunate enough not to be moved around all the time, but I did move a few times. I lived overseas once and that was in the Acores. Georgia is the last place I moved to. I left behind a lot of friends but I made new ones. I go to school and work. I work at Bruster's on Lower Roswell. I am always looking for something exciting to do.

"Shamoco"

In and around the city of Atlanta , Georgia , places to eat, sleep, shop, and whatever else anyone can possibly need are plenty. Places where regulars are greeted by name, welcome to stay a while, or even just see a friendly smile are not as common. Luckily, a Shell gas station on the corner of Johnson’s Ferry and Lassiter road loves their regulars, but the owner, Greg, will give anyone who comes in a good laugh.

What really gives the Shell character is the people that are always there. On almost any given morning around six A.M., a guy named Scott will be there with his Brittany Spaniel that will look as though it is about to die if someone walking in does not at least pat her on the head. Karen, a regular, calls the dog by name and gives her a greatly anticipated scratch behind the ears. When commenting on the station, she says, "This is a place where you go and you know what to expect. I have come here for fifteen years and not for the gas, I will be here no matter what the price. Where else will the owner let you keep your own carton of half and half in the fridge?"

Smoke and Curves

As we pulled off the interstate, I said a quick thank you to God, for Patrick’s driving was anything but uneventful. The car took an abrupt right and Patrick glanced into the rearview. His eyes gave us a quick apologetic look. The car flew down the lane, surrounded by seedy bars and the black tinted windows of the porn shops.

“This is never going to work,” Daniel said with a strong hint of paranoia in his voice.

“Yeah right, like you have anything to worry about, you look like your twenty five,” I shouted back. Daniel was the only one of us who could easily play off the lie we were telling that night. He had been shaving since kindergarten, I was sure of it.

“Seriously man, just relax and think of the sexy femilias,” Patrick said in his best Spanish accent. Patrick was never much of the scholarly type. Guided by my brother’s words of wisdom, “No ID required”, three of my closest and most immature friends and I packed into the car and headed off on a mission. Our mission that night was one of exotic dancers and a cheap buzz. Simply put, we were off to the hookah bar. Images of belly dancers swam through our heads, but there was also the tug of fear in the back of our minds.

Psycho Tattoo

It was a hot July 5, 2007 right after my birthday when the day came for what I have been waiting to do or several years. My Mom banged on my door, “Get up or you’re going to be late!” My eyes popped open to look at the blaring light reading 12:00 from my alarm clock. I rushed out of bed in pure excitement. My Mom drove me to Psycho Tattoo, the tattoo parlor that would make an imprint on my mind forever. The tattoo artist’s name was Rob. Rob had put tattoos on both of my parents and it meant a great deal for him to drill an image into me.

Now this was Rob’s first day back from a booming fireworks vacation, and I was nervous if he could pull it
off. I hardly said anything to my Mom, but her being there was strength to me. I walked through the doors of this award- winning place to find the tattooed, tough- looking men. And the rowdiest of them all was the one that was going to tat me up. “Hey how’s it going?” asked Rob. I replied with a shaky, “I’m ready.” He showed me the intricate drawings first that reflected the new aspirations of me. Something was terribly wrong. I stared at the picture, absolutely scrutinizing it under my gaze. It had to be exactly what I wanted. It had to be love at first sight, yet it wasn’t. I couldn’t be rushed though Rob was a busy man; I had to take all the time in the world. I sorted through all the drawing and printouts I gave him. The tribal around the black widow was not fitting. Even though it was just decoration it had to fit. My eyes wandered to the other tribal drawings and I asked him to draw it with the spider. He obliged, and hurried like a bat out of hell to draw it. I like the finished drawing of it so much. “That look so good…”, I was hypnotized by the picture.
