Big Jim's Wing Shack operates as a restaurant in the small, desolate, but rapidly growing town of Senoia, Georgia. An acute, wooden building in the corner of the town, Big Jim's implements the uniqueness that Senoia has. Big Jim's was founded in 1972 by Jim Grant. Mr. Grant, at the time, noticed that in Senoia there were not many options of places to go if you wanted good food. He wanted to create a place where everyone in the area would feel welcome and would enjoy the nice country cooking he could produce. Over time, he has attained a successful establishment in Senoia.
Senoia is a relatively quiet town approximately 35 miles south of Atlanta. It's your typical "only one stop light" type of town. Not a whole lot is there. There's a grocery store, a gas station, and a car care business, all owned by the same man. Only about 2,500 people live there, and about half of those people are retired. Even though the town is very tiny, it has had its fair share of fame. Senoia has been the location chosen to film many movies, music videos, and commercials. It's also been growing very hastily. Construction is everywhere nowadays and does not look like it will cease anytime soon.

Not sure 'desolate' is necessary in the first sentence.
comma after 'Jim's' in second sentence.
"...he could produce..." sounds very out of place, produce takes away form the feel of the essay, sounds regimented.
Location (outside Atlanta) not necessary.
Not quite sure where the essay is going yet after this, all I am really getting is how small the town is. There isn't much about the restaurant itself.
I tripped up on the "very hastily" part near the end.
if you want to leave the part about location in, switch the paragraphs.
I'll try to post more later.
